Dispatch.IO watches YouTube channels, Twitch streamers and RSS feeds, and posts an announcement in the channel of your choice for each new item. Frequencies, limits and deduplication are those of the Discord version. Everything is set on the dashboard's Social networks and RSS page.
Overview
| Source | What is announced | Check | Role mentioned | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube | The channel's latest video | Every 2 hours | Yes, optional | 2, 5 or unlimited depending on the plan |
| Twitch | A stream starting, updated during the stream, then turned into a VOD | Every 30 seconds | Yes, optional | 2, 5 or unlimited depending on the plan |
| RSS | The feed's latest article | Depending on the chosen interval, from 1 to 1440 minutes | No | None |
Setting up
- YouTube or Twitch: on the Social networks page, Add a network: a title (to find your way), the platform, the channel's link or handle, the notification channel and, if you want, a role to mention.
- RSS: on the RSS feeds page, Add a feed: the feed's address (the website checks it is a feed), the check interval and the channel.
In the notification channel, the bot needs View channel, Send messages and Embed links; to mention a role that isn't mentionable by everyone, it also needs the permission to mention every role.
Role mentions on Fluxer
Mentions placed in an embed don't notify anyone on Fluxer: the bot therefore also puts the role's mention in the message text, above the announcement, so the role does get notified.
YouTube
Every 2 hours, the bot looks at each channel's latest video. If it was never announced in your community, it posts the announcement (once per video): the channel's name, the video title as a link, the start of its description, its date, its thumbnail, and the Watch the video, Visit the channel and Subscribe links (buttons on Discord).

Twitch
Every 30 seconds, the bot checks whether each streamer is live.
- Stream start: "… is live on Twitch!", the stream title, the game, the start time, a preview and the Watch the stream link.
- During the stream: the announcement is updated every 3 minutes at most (title, game, viewers, preview).
- Stream end: 10 minutes later, the announcement becomes "… was live on Twitch!" with the Watch the VOD link.
- The role is only mentioned on the first post.
RSS feeds
The bot checks each feed at its interval and only looks at the most recent article: if it was never announced, it posts it (title as a link, summary, images, feed name, date and Read more link). If several articles come out between two checks, only the latest is posted.
Manual check
On the website, Check & send runs an immediate check of a network or a feed, even if the item was already announced. The button is then locked for that item: 30 minutes on Free, 15 minutes on Basic, 10 minutes on Ultimate.
Limits by plan
| Limit | Free | Basic | Ultimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Watched YouTube channels | 2 | 5 | Unlimited |
| Watched Twitch channels | 2 | 5 | Unlimited |
| RSS feeds | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Beyond the limit (after a plan downgrade), only the oldest channels, within the plan's limit, are watched.
Pitfalls and limits
- YouTube isn't instant: a video can be announced up to 2 hours after its release.
- Chronological feeds: a feed that lists its articles from oldest to newest never announces the new ones.
