Short answers to the questions we get most often about Dispatch.IO for Fluxer. For a specific problem (the bot doesn't answer, a role isn't given…), go to Troubleshooting instead.
The basics
What is the command prefix?
! by default. A community can change it with !prefix <new>. If you don't know it, mention the bot: its introduction reminds you, and @Dispatch.IO help always works.
Why are there no slash commands?
Fluxer doesn't give bots slash commands, buttons, menus or input windows yet. Dispatch.IO therefore uses prefixed commands, reactions instead of buttons and website forms instead of windows. Fluxer has announced these tools: Dispatch.IO will switch to them as soon as they are available. See Buttons, forms and replies on Fluxer.
Is the bot the same as on Discord?
Yes: same modules, same settings, same texts and same cards. The differences come from Fluxer (no buttons, no boosts, no private replies). The music player is there too, with reactions instead of buttons; only Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music links aren't supported.
Are my Discord settings carried over to Fluxer?
No. Fluxer and Discord each have their own website (fluxer.dispatchio.xyz and dispatchio.xyz) and their own database: settings, XP, flames, subscriptions and accounts are separate.
Using the bot
How do I press a button?
Click the matching reaction under the message: the message's legend line says what each emoji does. For a one-off button (take a role, open a ticket), the bot removes your reaction after the action, so you can click again.
I didn't get the form link
The link is sent by direct message. If your DMs are closed, it is posted for 15 seconds in the channel. Open your direct messages to the community's members, then run the command again or click the reaction again.
Why did the bot's reply disappear?
Replies that would be "only you can see this" on Discord are deleted after 5 seconds on Fluxer, together with your command. Personal information (infractions, ban list, Premium…) arrives by direct message.
Which language does the bot answer in?
In the community language, set on the dashboard. A new community starts in English.
For administrators
How do I set up the bot?
On the dashboard of fluxer.dispatchio.xyz, signed in with your Fluxer account. !config gives the direct link. See Bot configuration.
The bot doesn't give a role
Its role must be above the role to give. On Fluxer, at an equal position, the older role wins: drag the bot's role to the top. See Permissions and roles.
Why did the bot leave my community right after the invite?
The community was banned from Dispatch.IO (its owner gets a direct message with the reason), or its owner is blacklisted from Dispatch.IO.
How do I get a Premium plan?
In the shop of fluxer.dispatchio.xyz. Fluxer subscriptions are separate from Discord ones. See Premium plans and limits.
Where can I get help?
In Dispatch.IO's support community on Fluxer: the link is in the bot's introduction (mention it) and in !help. To report a bug: !report bug.
